– Montserrat is amazing. Not only the monastery but the mountains that it is built into. What a fabulous view.
– This was one of our favorite things that we saw on our visit to Barcelona.
– Once there you have a variety of things you can do. My favourite would have to be the hikers trails which you can follow.
– Make sure you listen the boys choir, they sing as angels. Also, visit the virgin, the art museum and the history museum. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Barcelona.

– I have to tell you that I don’t think I was prepared for the calm and spiritual feeling that both my friend and I experienced at this site. We were both in tears just standing in the courtyard during our visit. This site is something VERY special and NOT to be missed.

– Besides the church, the hiking up at Montserrat is great if you’re interested in that. The views are amazing as long as it’s a clear day. The day we went it was foggy in the morning and we could literally see not much more than 20 feet, I was a little disappointed at first. But within an hour the fog lifted and the skies cleared, it was amazing how drastically the weather changed. Once it cleared up the views were amazing, I wish we had all day to spend there.
– We were in Barcelona for 5 days back in 2009. We went to Montserrat and it was well worth seeing. We also saw the black Madonna and lit a candle. We are not deeply religious people, but I am sure glad that we went. See the videos.
– Montserrat is a must see. But obviously, Barcelona is first. Notice that Montserrat in not only the black madonna and the boys choir. Montserrat is a natural park and you will not see this kind of mountains anywhere in the world.
– Absolutely go! We were on a performance tour last year in Spain and this was one of our most memorable experiences. There was a boys choir from England singing in the Cathedral and it was amazing. Truely amazing.
